Jean Prouvé Ceiling Light — London Interior

Jean Prouvé’s industrial lighting seen within the London home of collector and patron Maja Hoffmann, designed by India Mahdavi.

The sculptural ceiling fixture — a linear steel beam punctuated by circular diffused lights, reflects Prouvé’s engineering-led approach to design. Originally trained as a metalworker, Prouve brought a structural clarity to furniture and architectural elements that continues to influence contemporary design.

In this interior, the fixture sits in striking dialogue with Mahdavi’s atmospheric palette and geometric artworks, balancing industrial precision with a softer, more expressive domestic environment.
